The Opportunity

We are looking for a part time of full time Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role focuses on transaction processing, reconciliations, and maintaining clean, organized financial records to support the broader finance function.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working with recurring processes and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
  • Prepare and post routine journal entries, including payroll and contractor payment entries
  • Support accounts receivable follow-up, including monitoring overdue balances
  • Prepare and issue invoices
  • Maintain organized financial records and support filing and document management
  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to accounting and finance

Experience & Skills

  • 2–4 years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks and basic bookkeeping principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with recurring tasks and deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel and basic financial reporting
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Analyst, Finance & Accounting to support day-to-day accounting, payroll, and operational finance activities across multiple entities and programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers, understands how finance supports operations, and is comfortable juggling recurring processes alongside ad-hoc requests.

You’ll work closely with senior finance leadership and operational stakeholders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and visibility across the organization’s financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Support month-end and ongoing accounting processes, including revenue reconciliation and journal entries
  • Prepare and process vendor, contractor, and operational payments across multiple programs and entities
  • Manage credit card activity, expense tracking, and payment processing
  • Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Support cash flow monitoring and basic balance oversight

Payroll & People-Related Finance

  • Support bi-weekly payroll processing and payroll-related inquiries
  • Assist with contractor onboarding, setup, and ongoing payment processing
  • Track vacation balances and support year-end payroll reporting (e.g., T4 preparation and review)
  • Support benefits administration and payroll compliance items

Program & Revenue Support

  • Assist with revenue tracking and invoicing for various service lines and programs
  • Support calculation and reconciliation of practitioner and service-based earnings
  • Respond to internal requests related to billing, invoicing, and financial data

Compliance & Government Reporting

  • Assist with government filings and remittances (e.g., GST, WCB, WSIB, EHT)
  • Provide support during year-end close and external tax or audit processes

Planning, Reporting & Process Support

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support finance inboxes and act as a point of contact for routine inquiries
  • Help maintain organized financial documentation and improve processes over time

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting payroll, AP/AR, and general accounting processes
  • Exposure to multi-entity or operationally complex environments is an asset
  • Experience with Canadian payroll and compliance requirements is strongly preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Potential Practice Setting
 Nurse Practitioners may provide services within adult and youth facilities located in:

  • Saskatoon
  • Regina
  • Prince Albert
  • North Battleford

Practice assignments may be single-site or multi-site, depending on mutual fit and availability.


Clinical Scope (May Include)

  • Primary care assessments and follow-up
  • Chronic disease management
  • Medication prescribing within NP scope
  • Health screenings and physical assessments
  • Communicable disease testing and treatment
  • Mental health and substance use related care
  • Telephone-based on-call clinical support
  • Collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and correctional teams

Indicative Time Commitment

  • Scheduled onsite clinic hours ranging from a few hours per month to weekly sessions

Candidate Profile

  • Eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan
